 Hectic times for MAMI

“Manitoba will be represented by provincial champions from 2018 (Hudbay Snow Lake) and 2019 (Hudbay Flin Flon).”

While the rest of us are trying to get the most out of the last weeks of summer, the team at the Mining Association of Manitoba Inc. (MAMI) is busy preparing for a pair of safety-oriented events – one taking place this fall and the other slated for the fall of 2020.

First, following on the heels of the successful Manitoba Mine Rescue Competition on May 24-25 in Flin Flon, MAMI is keenly anticipating the National Western Region Mine Rescue Competition (NWRMRC) in Fernie, BC, on September 6 and 7, 2019. Manitoba will be represented by provincial champions from 2018 (Hudbay Snow Lake) and 2019 (Hudbay Flin Flon). For the event, MAMI is coordinating and judging the underground firefighting exam and challenge as well as the NWRMRC written exam.
